coopermine to smf bridge can not log into coopermine at all

I have just done a clean install of coppermine 1.5.36 and smf 2.0.10

when I set up the bridge it for some reason will not log into coopermine at all

I have set both up on a localhost env

localhost/gallery

localhost/forum

can log into smf and create use...
